POOLE have handed former British Youth Champion Nathan Ablitt their No.7 position for the upcoming Championship campaign.
Ablitt, 17, had just broken into the Eastbourne team prior to their closure last summer, and now gets his big opportunity with the reigning champions at Wimborne Road.
Promoter Dan Ford said: "We spoke with our good friends who were involved with Eastbourne, and they gave Nathan a glowing report, as too did contacts we have in the GB Youth set-up, and we are delighted to welcome him to Poole.
"Obviously he will be at reserve for us, but with the team we have planned there will be plenty of experience for Nathan to draw on, and I believe that our fans will enjoy watching this very talented young lad develop."
