POOLE stars Danny King and Steve Worrall will be back to spearhead the club's Championship title defence this season.
King will continue as the Pirates' skipper with Worrall starting the campaign at No.1 after both averaged in excess of 9.00 in 2021 when the Dorset side clinched a league and KO Cup double.
Said King: "Last season couldn't have really gone any better for the Pirates to be honest.
"I came here knowing of the desire within the club to win titles, and that excited me. I was keen to be part of that challenge, and hopefully we can have more of the same this year.
"I didn't want to go anywhere else to be honest, so when the offer came up it was an easy deal to get done. It's looking like another good side being built this year and I am really looking forward to getting going."
